Welcome to Thriving with Age
Living longer is only half the goal. This site is about the other half, staying strong, sharp and connected for as many of those years as possible.
Most conversations about aging are about adding years. How long can we live? What's the record? Which country has the most centenarians?
Those are interesting questions, but they miss what most of us actually care about. We don't just want more years. We want more good years: years with the energy to travel, the strength to carry grandkids, the clarity to keep learning, and the independence to live life on our own terms.
That's the idea behind healthspan, the number of years you live in good health. And it's what this site is about.
What you'll find here
Thriving with Age is where I share what I learn about living longer and living better, physically and especially mentally. Expect articles on:
- Mind & mood: memory, stress, depression, purpose and keeping your brain sharp
- Nutrition: what the evidence says about eating for the long haul
- Movement: strength, cardio, balance and mobility at every age
- Sleep & recovery: the most underrated health habit there is
- Chronic disease: understanding and preventing the conditions that shape how we age
- Connection & purpose: the relationships and meaning that keep us going
How I approach it
I'm not here to sell miracle cures. Health advice online is full of hype, so every article aims to be honest about what the research does and doesn't show, cite its sources, and end with something practical you can actually do.
None of it replaces advice from your own doctor, but I hope it helps you ask better questions and make choices you feel good about.
